27th Sunday in Ordinary Time – Year A

The Vineyard of the Lord

The Church rejoices in being the vineyard of the Lord. At the same time we have cause here for much heart-searching and prayer.

(The musical settings for the Kyrie and Agnus Dei will be taught before mass only)

Entrance Antiphon: O Lord, you have given everything its place in the world, and no one can make it otherwise. For it is your creation, the heavens and the earth and the stars: you are the Lord of all.

Entrance hymn: Canticle of the Sun

1st Reading: Isaiah 5:1-7 – The vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the House of Israel

Responsorial Psalm: The vineyard of the Lord is the House of Israel

2nd Reading: Philippians 4:6-9 – The God of peace will be with you

Gospel acclamation: I call you friends, says the Lord, because I have made known to you everything I have learnt from my Father.

Gospel: Matthew 21:33-43 – He will lease the vineyard to other tenants

Preparation hymn: We have been told

Communion Antiphon: Because there is one bread, we , though many, are one body, for we all share in the one loaf and in the one cup.

Communion hymn: One Bread, One Body

Thanksgiving hymn: O God you search me

Recessional hymn: All the ends of the earth
