28th Sunday in Ordinary Time – Year A

The Lord’s Wedding Feast

In Christ Jesus, God fulfils all our needs, as lavishly as only God can. All of us, no matter how unworthy we may be, are invited to the wedding feast of his Son. We have only to enter.

Entrance Antiphon: If you, O Lord, laid bare our guilt, who could endure it? But you are forgiving, God of Israel.

Entrance hymn: All are welcome

1st Reading: Isaiah 25:6-10 – The Lord will prepare a banquet, and will wipe away tears from every cheek.

Responsorial Psalm: In the Lord’s own house shall I dwell for ever and ever

2nd Reading: Philippians 4:12-14. 19-20 – There is nothing I cannot master with the help of the One who gives me strength.

Gospel acclamation: The Word was made flesh and lived among us; to all who did accept him he gave power to become children of God

Gospel: Matthew 22:1-14 – Invite everyone you can find to the wedding

Preparation hymn: Shepherd me , O God

Communion Antiphon: The rich suffer want and go hungry, but nothing shall be lacking to those who fear the Lord.

Communion hymn: The supper of the Lord

Thanksgiving hymn: You are mine

Recessional hymn: In the day of the Lord
